How Your Support of GROW Month Made a Difference

Great things are happening in Mexico and Ecuador thanks to your continued support of GROW by Organics Unlimited. This morning we received pictures from Project Amigo, a recipient of GROW funds, and a nonprofit that provides access to education for youth in the state of Colima, Mexico, as well as other goods and services that help improve quality of living. We were so happy to receive these pictures and they could not have come at a better time, as we just finished celebrating GROW month in September. Seeing first-hand how this community was helped was truly moving.

Organics Unlimited Debuts GROW Ads on Portland, Ore. Transit

SAN DIEGO (Sept. 22, 2016) – Organics Unlimited, an organic banana grower and importer with distribution throughout the Pacific Northwest, announces new advertising with TriMet, the Portland, Ore.-regional transit system. The eight-week advertising campaign coincides with GROW month, a 30-day initiative aimed at creating more consumer awareness of organic bananas, healthy lifestyles and GROW’s social responsibility programs.

GROW Brings Hope Through Aid in Mexico

On many produce farms around the world, worker’s conditions are notoriously poor. But because of GROW’s commitment to the community and in keeping with its ideals of service and sustainability, GROW by Organics Unlimited has been able to change that by implementing a culture that advocates quality of life for its farming communities. For over 10 years, GROW has helmed various projects in Colima, a rural state on the west coast of Mexico.

GROW Helps Children in Ecuador Succeed Through Education

GROW month is in full swing, and this is a great time to reflect on how GROW helps communities. At GROW by Organics Unlimited, we are especially grateful that we can help children reach their full potential, and one such place where we do that is in Ecuador.

Ecuador is one of the locations of our organic banana farms. It is a beautiful country that lies on the equator. But for all its beauty, it is also a country where one out of four children lives below the poverty line. This makes giving back to the community extremely important, especially in order to help children succeed.  

GROW Gives Back to the Environment

September is here, and one of the reasons this is one of our favorite months is because during September we celebrate #GROWmonth! GROW month lets us share our mission of social responsibility and sustainability with consumers around the U.S. When a consumer buys an organic GROW banana, that person is actively helping communities improve access and quality to health care, education, housing and more. Not only is that purchase of an organic banana helping people; it is also helping the environment.

The GROW month initiative is a 30-day campaign aimed at partnering with retailers and media in order to create more consumer awareness of organic bananas, healthy lifestyles and GROW’s social responsibility programs.

Observing Trends in the Organic Food Movement

It is no secret that consumers are increasingly seeking organic, natural and/or minimally processed foods. Whether it’s to lose weight, fight disease and/or promote good health, today’s consumers are willing to pay a premium for health benefits. The result is that healthy categories of food, like vegetables, fruits and organic bananas are growing much faster than the processed food category.

GROW month is Organics Unlimited’s 30-day campaign that aims to create more consumer awareness of organic bananas, fresh produce and healthy lifestyles. SAN DIEGO (Aug. 10, 2016) – Organics Unlimited, an organic banana grower and importer with headquarters in south San Diego County, is pleased to announce it will unveil a fresh, new look to its branding throughout the coming months, including new banana stickers, revised packaging and an updated look and messaging. The elements will roll out  gradually, beginning in August.
